Selig Enterprises has promoted Malloy Peterson to its C-suite.
The Atlanta-based real estate firm announced Peterson’s promotion to chief operating officer on March 11. A Selig spokesperson said that Jo Ann Chitty, the firm’s longtime chief operating officer, has retired.
Peterson has served as senior vice president of Selig’s development arm since 2017. She contributed to the 80-acre adaptive reuse project called The Works in Atlanta’s Upper Westside and other landmark projects such as 1105 West Peachtree in Midtown.
The promotion comes about three months after another noteworthy shift in senior leadership at the family-run company. Longtime leader Steve Selig passed the torch as CEO to his daughter, Mindy Selig, and nephew, Greg Lewis, on Jan. 1. Steve Selig remains chairman of the firm.
