Taana Kow-Mayes

Director, Marketing and Placemaking

Taana Kow-Mayes is Director of Marketing and Placemaking and oversees the Marketing Department. Her role is focused on creative strategy, branding, signage, art, and events that take place across Selig’s 15 million sf portfolio.  She provides leadership to the team that is responsible for driving brand awareness for the company’s retail, office, and industrial assets. Since 2018, Taana has been a key contributor to the development of The Works, Selig’s legacy adaptive reuse project in Atlanta’s Upper Westside. Her efforts to date include building a community-driven sense of place through art and events and working with stakeholders to create unique activations and experiences. The Works now hosts a schedule that sees more than 400 activations per year.

Prior to working at Selig Enterprises, Taana began her career at Smith Real Estate Services working in land acquisitions. She is a member of ICSC, graduate of PATHBUILDERS LEAD, and earned a dual degree from Georgia State University in Real Estate and Marketing.
