Carter Davis

Senior Vice President, Asset Management

As Senior Vice President of Asset Management, Carter leads the asset management function at Selig Enterprises and is involved in several initiatives across the portfolio.  He oversees all operating activities at The Works, Selig’s 80-acre adaptive mixed-use project on the Upper Westside, and The Block, one of Buckhead’s premier open-air retail shopping centers.

Carter joined Selig in 2024 from State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS), where he oversaw a portfolio of retail, office and multifamily properties valued at approximately $800 million.  Prior to STRS, Carter worked for a small family office in Colorado that owned and developed properties across multiple property types, and before that, spent 14 years working for JBGR Retail and JBG Smith in the Washington, D.C. area, where he ran the retail and mixed-use asset management platform and was heavily involved in the acquisition of over $1 billion of retail real estate.

Carter holds a BA from Colby College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
