There’s been a bit of a shuffling of retail tenants at 77 12th St., a luxury apartment tower in Midtown.
Dallas-based restaurant Princi Italia is now set to open a new location at the building, which is the newest phase of the 12th & Midtown development.
The restaurant is taking the spot at the corner of Crescent Avenue and 12th Street that once was planned to become Taco Diner, a concept from Dallas-based MCrowd Restaurants and a sister restaurant to Mi Cocina.
Princi Italia is an upscale pizza and pasta joint that’s under the same ownership as nearby Midtown sushi spot STEEL Restaurant & Lounge.
It will be the first location in the state.
“The concept is really unique for Atlanta,” said Shirley Gouffon, senior vice president for Selig Enterprises Inc., who handles retail leasing at 12th & Midtown. “It’s a very sexy concept.”
